As the last day doomed on us, we had to finish up our visit. We only got half a day and we decided to resort it to driving. Canyonlands’ other part seems perfect for this intent. Read the rest of this entry »

Before the day ends, we hiked another short trail. It was called “Cave Spring Trail.” The story behind this trail was that it was the all time water source for the Puebloan Indians and later on the cowboys.

Left Slickrock Foot Trail, we kept driving towards the Needles. Before we got there, we reached Confluence Overlook Trail. Although we did not see the junction of two rivers (Colorado & Green River) joining, we felt that we saw what was beyond our journey.

Driving inside Canyonlands was more dynamic than Arches because Canyonlands have more variations of views and rocks.

Canyonlands National Park is big, not only big, but huge!! Nobody can spend only one day in it and it was broken up by two parts, the Needles and Island In the Sky. We spent an entire day in the Needles and a half day at Island In the Sky. And mind you, that’s the minimum, it wasn’t enough! Read the rest of this entry »
