2009 Seattle: Elliott’s Oyster House

There is a curse about Seattle on us, I believe. We have been to Seattle a few times, or rather, through Seattle but never had any luck in the city. The first time for me was in the millennium year when I fell into Lake Washington while canoeing to see Bill Gate’s house. The second time we flew to Seattle and drove to Vancouver for a friend’s wedding; on the way back we were stuck in traffic and missed our flight in Seattle. The third time we flew to Seattle for the Alaska cruise and didn’t get a good chance to explore Seattle due to the rush schedule. This time, after stuck in traffic during rush hours and then ran into a much delayed public transportation system, luck started to favor us and let us get on the flight just 10 minutes before it departs. I sense that we have an exciting weekend coming up.

2008-05-25 Purple Café and Wine Bar @ Seattle

I fell in love with Seattle downtown once again when I strolled on the streets of this moody city. At the corner of the street, we saw an elegant stand alone structure called Purple, which was a café and wine bar.
