2005 Peru: Alpaca & Llama

When visiting local markets, you can see local Indians selling sweaters from alpaca furs. The hand sewing ones are tight in knit count and very warm.
This is a little one.
The entire family and probably the extended too. Llama are the bigger type and alpaca is the smaller one, they’re from the same family.
Small alpacas are fed with milk.
Alpacas come in different colors of furs. They are very quiet and gentle animals.
On the roads, it is not rare to see herds of alpacas or llamas eating grass along the side.
The babies’ hair is the most soft for sweaters and other textiles.
