2007 Utah – Night

May, 2007
When I think of the night at Moab, I thought of wolf, canyons, dessert, free time and chill. We took the Canyonlands Night Tour to kill some time at night. The tour started with a 45 minutes buffet dinner serving WET Barbecue dishes. In my mind set, I thought barbecue was all dry and smoky so this wet barbecue meats surprised me a bit. They tasted all right, and I think they tasted better when they were paired with corns. There were various kinds of meats in barbecue sauces, some even hot.
After dinner, we were ushed onto a boat when the sun set. A guide was on board talking about the river and giving some information about the town and the nearby attractions. Then we started sailing and by following the guide’s pointing directions, we could see lights shredding on the rocks along the river and stories formed.

The show was OK, I didn’t think it was something too cool to miss. During the tour, I saw a trailer hauling a big flash light driving along the river, almost at the same pace as our boat. Then I realized those were our fairy tale creaters. These two folks (young and old) rushed back to the pier when the ship docked and helped us out of the boat. Quite efficient operation.

I don’t have pictures of the tour as cameras were forbidden. But I do have the following pictures to share.

When the golden ray shrone on us

One more time to remind us that sunset and sunrise times are perfect for pictures!

A clear night with the moon.

I envy wolves if they get to look at this every night…
